We went down an old red dirt road what seemed to be for ever to me. We came to a fork in the road by a large corn field and dad took the right fork. Just then dad said "look the moving truck is in front of us" Then we made a hard left turn and crossed over a metal pipe bridge.. mom said..Jimmy this is a cattle guard..look their is our new home. I could not believe my eyes It was a two story old victorian house with a big front porch with big old bench swing. The moving van truck and Mr Leeparked in the white gravel driveway. We pulled up to the old barn and we all jumped out. Wow ,cool an old barn with a hay loft and big door at the top by the roof. Mom and dad started walking up to te house while I was still staring at the cool old barn. Come son called dad...come help unload the moving truck. Okay dad I yelled. I run up to Mr Lee and asked can I have my X box please. Sure young lad replied Mr Lee. Taking the box I made my way up the old wooden wide steps. Mom and dad were already in the house. I just stared at the house..it had two doors one with a big metal ring and screen door for The Other one. I had never seen anything like it. Walking into The house..mom screamed at me shut the screen door securely Jimmy I don't want any flies in the house. Man as I walked into the living room with a big mantle and a huge wood fireplace...look at how big this house is I exclaimed. Yelp replied dad it has two bedrooms down stairs and two bedrooms up stairs. The stairs were carved out of oak wood remarked mom and the kitchen look at how big it is...A big long island that we can all sit at to have breakfast. There is a huge refrig and an old GE oven and stove continued mom. I can now do proper baking replied dad...pies,cakes and your favorite Jimmy chocolate chip cookies. Mr Lee and his two man crew made quick work of unloading the moving truck and all the boxes were neatly stacked in the fireplace living area and another stack in the kitchen. Wow I said to mom I can get lost just running around in the house. About that time, Dad opened a door in the kitchen on the back wall...Look replied dad stairs down to the basement. OHHH yess replied mom move out of the way Bill and let me go down and scope out the basement...It was just a dream..but now we as family have a laundry room.. My mom quickly dashed down the stairs and there was Maytag washer and dryer in the back left corner. Mr lee called Hey Bill my crew and me are finished as he walked over to shake my dad's hand to say goodbye. Thank you for all your help Mr Lee cried my mom. Yes thank replied Dad as he got his wallet out of his back jean pocket and paid Mr Lee in cash. So mom where is my bedroom going to be? I asked. Upstairs replied mom come on let's go take a look at your new bedroom Jimmy. The old wooden stairs crunched and squeaked as we both walk up to the second story. I think this one will do replied mom...it has a big white built in bookcase and study desk. You have two big windows to look out at night at the stars Jimmy continued mom. Then my face lit ups with a big smile and i said IT WAS ONLY A DREAM..but now I am walking in my new bedroom. Okay honey replied mom you need to start hauling all your bedroom boxes up here to your bedroom. But mom I replied let me just sit here a minute and process all of the grand view...my bedroom is allmost as big as our apartment in the city. You replied Mom you just mighty be right heney...okay I will let you have a moment to take it all in! continued mom. The first thing I did was put the box with the X into the big cube in the wall book case..it was just the right size. I decided to leave the box unopened becasue I was still thinking about how I was going to arrange my bedroom. I thought I heard all three of them yell out we are in the country Yeah...I thought we were going to be in the big city FOREVER replied tiny the elephant to squeaks the rubber mouse.yeahreplied squeaks I thought IT WAS ONLY A DREAM.
