The breeze was cool, the forest quiet, and the only sound behind me was the persistent rustling of a princess trying—and failing—to walk without stepping on her dress. Cold. Refreshing. Perfect. “Want some?” I asked half-jokingly. She nodded so fast I thought her neck might snap. I handed her the bottle. She held it carefully with both hands, as if it was fragile. Then she drank. Slowly. One tiny sip. Then her eyes widened. “This… this is— Hero, this is divine nectar!” “It’s literally tea.” “But it tastes like heaven—!” Before she could finish, someone shouted from the road ahead. “There! That’s her! The princess!” We both turned. A group of knights in silver armor were running toward us. The princess froze. “Oh no,” she whispered. “They found me…” “Wait—why are you even running from your own knights?” She didn’t answer. She just grabbed my arm. “Hero, PLEASE RUN!” And just like that— —my peaceful stroll turned into a sprint for our lives. Again.
