A wealthy couple with everything to lose and nothing else to their names holes up in their posh, coastal mansion. Isabel, and her husband, Carl, are willing to try anything to avoid the inevitable conclusion to her grim diagnosis: cancer. Slow, inexorable, traveling throughout the freeway systems of her body and ravaging every part of her it passes through.

On a ride her daughter asks her about a habit.

Someone is writing a letter to escape the rain and the machines to return to a life before technology. A short depiction of how they see the modern world and what they yearn for in life.

A young man approaches Elizabeth in a packed coffee shop and makes a peculiar statement.

The world has changed. Contained in The Globe, humans live in artificial life. Only sign of true life is the humans themselves. Humans and AI are at war. ChatGPT has risen to power. By the end of it all, will there be peace? Or power?

A 16 year old orphan in China, which seems to be a side-kick dreams about a damn, which floats a village. She knows that the military is involved. Soon after this, she is on the road with a friend of her and vehicles from the military pass them, to drive in the direction of the damn. Can she convince her aunt, that she is not mad? Can they stop the mission or will they all be doomed.

"The name's Zeta! It's been raining for fifteen years and everyone's given up the idea of climbing the obelisk to shut off the machine. Everyone that is but me and my lifelong love Kiwi! We're gonna scale that rock or become legends trying. I don't care what I have to face, we'll face it together."

It is the future, and our main character is not expecting the machines to come by for a Security Check on his apartment he lives in with his mother, who hates them. This is a brief snippet of life from a future that may or may not come to pass.
